Dr. Larry Pribyl and The Center for TMJ & Sleep Apnea in Independence, Missouri

Dr. Larry Pribyl, at the age of 10, decided he wanted to become a dentist, mainly to make it his mission to make it less of a painful process for patients.  To that end, technology has been huge, he says.

At the Center for TMJ & Sleep Apnea, his dental practice in Independence, Missouri, Dr. Pribyl not only has computer monitors stationed in each exam room, he also uses CT scans and laser therapy, among many other things, which has made dentistry a "much more exciting profession."

Dr. Pribyl uses cold laser therapy to make cold sores disappear quickly, TENS units and ultrasound units for pain therapy, just to name a couple of technologies.  In order to make the technology work for you, Dr. Pribyl explains, you have to make the right diagnosis.  "That's key," and technology helps to get us there, he says.

At the Center for TMJ & Sleep Apnea, their mission statement is "designing a better quality of life for you," and in the things they do, they want to help their patients in the office and have them leave feeling better than when they came in.  When you're dealing with sleep apnea and TMJ problems, most of the time, patients are not better right away.  "There is a commitment on our part to work together to achieve a good result for the patient," Dr. Pribyl says.

Dr. Larry Pribyl is a leading sleep expert with Sleep Better TV, providing online, on-demand, sleep breathing disorder videos, and is a dentist in Independence, Missouri with the Center for TMJ & Sleep Apnea.
